Hey guys!

Is there someone out there able to patch the "BS Excitebike - Bunbun Mario Battle Stadium" to run on a real SNES through Power PAK?

If I remember well it don't even starts!
Black screen...

And in Zsnes in windows, the game runs, but it requires a LONG WAIT SCREEN until the game really starts. Thru emulator we can fast forward, but on real SNES it is not possible.

I would LOVE to play this Excite Bike remix...

Anyone has any idea?
Thanks!

Black screen? Are you sure? I didn't try it on my PowerPak, but I tried it on the Neo Myth and I got a scrolling message in japanese, and then I got to some kind of title screen that shows a clock or something at the top-left corner. At that point nothing happened when I pressed the buttons on the controller, but it was updating the time on the screen, so I'm guessing it's waiting for _something_.

So you need to find out what that _something_ is. I suggest you fire up bsnes-debugger and start tracing the S-CPU at the title screen to figure out what it's doing.

Hey mic_,

I don't remember if it was this game or if it was another one who gave me a blcak screen, I need to copy it to my CF again to check it.

Anyway... your procedure is correct.
After the LOOOOOOOOOOONG wait, the game will start.
I will be very happy f there is a way to skip this.

BS Zeldas had this "problem" too, and someone was able to hack the roms fixing this long wait... At least I think this way.

Am I wrong?

I don't know. I've never played BS Zelda. But if you know who did the hack you could ask them how it works.
Or.. if you have the hacked version and the original version you can run a diff on them to see what has changed. That might give some clues.

Sorry to dig up an old post. I tried the file above, and I get the same thing on real hardware too, just a black screen =(
