Parallel CopyNES testing

Can someone with a parallel CopyNES and the original qbasic client test something for?
When I do a "Find Version", I get the long version string. When I do it the second time, I get garbage data. Can someone else do this and see what you get?
Also... anyone wanna buy a parallel copynes board? I'm thinking about going to USB.
