If it's for personal use, have you tried a PowerPak? Or is it that you only have a famiclone, and the PowerPak doesn't work on a lot of famiclones? Or is it that you don't want to wait for PowerPak to be back in stock?

It is not out of the realm of possibility, but what fun is that? ;)

I've also heard that the overall performance of the PowerPak is okay at best. I'd like the sound and video to be 100% dead on and not 85% real. You know?

The video in a game played on a PowerPak is 100% dead on. So is the sound as long as your game isn't a Famicom game that uses extra audio channels synthesized by the mapper.

OK, well thanks for the clarification on that. It is a definite possibility I guess, but creating the cart to put in my hands is way more appealing.

Post resurrection!

So, a little update to this post... I finally got my hands on a PowerPak.

I did however perform an EPIC FAIL due to the fact that I own a Retron 3 and not an original NES. NOAC chip systems do not play nice with the PowerPak obviously.

Now I sit an wait while my NES gets shipped.......
