Rockman in a different sprite style than the classic we all know and Roll in a sort of 8-bit Marvel Vs Capcom sprite.

This is pretty cool. I always thought that Capcom should have updated the Rockman sprite some time along the way, since the original sprite is pretty ugly and looked badly outdated by the time the 6th game came out...

Well it looks like the Link idea was something of a Pandora's box for me. Since then I've been flooded with requests for Mario and I've been happy to oblige. Hope you guys enjoy!

If anyone is interested, I can commission making these 3D models, but they take far far longer than the 2D sprites and as such, the costs are significantly higher. If you truly are interested, pm me with an offering price and [maybe] we can negotiate a price.

Retro Nintendo set. The person who ordered this wanted four sprites that represented the NES era, though I cheated and used 16-bit Link. It wasn't until after I took this photo that I noticed I needed to refuse the beads along his leg there.

Well I figured I should update this thread to show you guys some more recent stuff I've been doing. These are all commissions I've got for the holidays this year.

Image
Protoman custom

Well, it wouldn't be me if I didn't do a Megaman sprite right? This is a 100% custom sprite based loosely on the Megaman Powered Up chibi style.

Image
Yoshi & Baby Mario

Sure, it's been done to death, but a classic sprite from an excellent retro game that really stands the test of time.

Image
Shantae!

My favorite videogame heroine returns in a enhanced custom sprite I've created based on the sexy half-genie's more recent DSi game. I've got plans for more Shantae sprites in the future as it really is one of the great underrated classics of our time.

Image
[fat] Majin Buu

fat Majin Buu from Dragonball Z Buu's Fury for the GBA.

Image

Family Guy's Stewie.

Image
Usagi, Sailor Moon

A color enhanced sprite I've made from a Japan-only GameBoy game with cute mascots from the mid 90s. I'm not a Sailor Moon expert, but I based the colors off official art.

cuz iz gona rain!

actually though, he's not black at all. it's just the somewhat crappy lighting in the photo I took. the color is actually a light tan, sort of the color of sand, the same color as the Mario statue in the previous post.

here's my newest commission project.

One mega-fan has called upon me to spur up everlasting love retro gamers have for all things Megaman while we all ask Capcom:
Image

To that end, I've decided to return to the abandoned Megaman Legends series with a tribute to the ever-helpful sidekick mechanic, Roll Caskett!

I'm rather pleased with how she turned out.

hope you enjoy and happy 25th, Rockman! As always, if you are interested in placing an order, simply pm me. Prices start at just $5.

This last portrais sure looks really good !

Now I wonder if those kind of games could be used to prototype video game graphics, so that I could spend more time away from my computer while still making progress on my NES projects (TM).
The problem is that - eventually you'll have to recopy the graphics back in the computer, and eventually it'll be a loose of time. Especially considering simple operations like shift all pixels in a direction, or draw a dithered surface, is faster to do on the computer.

Taking a photo and resizing it down to individual pixels should work quite well.
