Cartridge schematic/board?

Crawling out from my dark little corner again :D

Does anyone have a schematic/board for Eagle (Or similar if you have any recommendations) of the cartridge PCB? Preferably in a largest format avaliable, like the size of the PowerPak? I'm going to add some simple ethernet support in the cartridge, so the jack obviously has to be at the top of the cartridge, and thus I need a large PCB (Wirers are boring). I did find one board for eagle, but it's too small.

I would make it myself, but my project is a little time constrained, so if possible, I'd like to use as little time as possible messing around with stuff like that.

Thanks!

If you search the forums there was some Eagle files floating around. Unfortunately the links were dead the last time I checked.

I would really appreciate this as well, or at least some detailed drawings so I can make my own outline layer.

I have a cart outline with edge connector in FPC (Free PCB) format. Used it to create a test board the other day. Would that do?

That would help me at the least.

This layout also contains a footprint for the MMC1 shrink DIP. I put the two test points at the top to use as alignment points for when I etch the board.

Disclaimer - I used a digital caliper to take the measurements, but use it at your own risk. I etch and cut all my boards at home so it's no big deal to me if it's a hair oversized. Should go without saying, but please verify the measurements yourself if you decide to send your design to a fab.

I can post one in Proteus format if anyone else is using that. It's an exact measurement though, board fab places can't route out those internal notch things (I guess Nintendo had their boards cut by stamping to get those sharp right angles).

Whatever you do, don't forget to measure the locations of those plastic standoffs and such that are part of the cart case. Other than the 2 holes, there are some spots where you can't place any parts.

Funny that you ask because I was thinking of asking myself yesterday after looking around for eagle library:P Here is what I found on the NESDev board

http://www8.cs.umu.se/~c05ben/eagle/nin ... rtedge.lbr

From that thread: http://nesdev.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=5095

Now I haven't tested them so I leave the other more knowledgeable people vouch for their accuracy as the original poster mentioned it was a bit off.

As for the proteus file, I for one would be happy to have them available!

I'd be surprised if it's useful to anyone, but here it is:

I use KiCAD. Can Eagle import KiCAD format files yet? I can add some stuff to the Wiki pages for common use, including some of my KiCAD library files (parrs and connectors) if anyone else uses the suite.

I tried Eagle, but after comparing it to KiCAD, I wansn't really impressed enough to go out and buy a license. KiCAD will get better, and is open-source: Really the next-wave in design tools for cross-platform usage.
