.NSF Request: Ripping Unreleased NES Music Track

Post by NESPlayer »

Hello NESDev,

I'm looking for some help ripping game music from a prototype I dumped. The game is Disney's Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, and it contains an unreleased music track by Yoko Shimomura (Super Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts).

You can find more information here:
http://nesplayer.com/features/disney/prototype.htm

Please contact me at mike@nesplayer.com if you think you can help out. I'd love to be able to preserve the music and listen for any other hidden tracks. Thanks for your time!

Got a ROM dump?
I think you might be able to just take the first 16K (0x4000 bytes) of the PRG data, and replace the old NSF file's PRG data with that 16k block.
Capcom games often make the Init address 8003 and the Play address 8000, and they put all the music code and data into the first 16k of the ROM, so it's very friendly to rip NSFs of those games.
Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies! They're wearing paper hats!

I do have the ROM, Dwedit, but I would be totally lost attempting something like that. Would it be at all possible for you to take a look at the file?

I can rip it. I think it was me who ripped the original Magic Kingdom NSF all those years ago. PM or e-mail me if interested.
