Hello guys + gals,

Since May, I've been very busy on a revenue generating project, plus the work-load at my day job has increased significantly. So I put my nesdev stuff on hold. I doubt that I'll be picking it up anytime soon. :(

I'm also a bit bummed out that Atari has begun suing everyone and anyone who has created a fan work (web sites, game ports, etc...) so I'm not sure what I'll do with my Yars' Revenge clone. The obvious answer is to change the graphics, text and sound. But that doesn't seem very satisfying.

I'm posting to say hello. I didn't want anyone to think that I was trying to be rude or that I had disappeared.

good to see you around again.
What you can do is take the knowledge and skill you gained from the Yars' project and apply it on a new game. I think you'll derive more satisfaction from completing an original idea.

just my 2 cents

Good to see you around again and too bad to hear about atari going after people. I think marshallh has the right idea with making something of your own (or cloning something but calling it something else...if anything you could always rework your yars clone a little)

Right now I'm too busy with work and my side business to devote any time to coding a game :( I won't have any breathing room until late March - right in time for the MGC 2012 expo. I am sad that I won't have anything significant to demo. But I do look forward to the event and getting together with some of you guys again. Maybe we can talk kevtris into bringing his kevtendotarigizmo.. :)
