This NSF was made using ppMCK (release 9 ex2), and use features of the AY-3-8910 not used on Gimmick!, like hardware envelope and noise.
It could only be listened to using VirtuaNSF (last version), NSForce (a forgotten NSF player) and NSFPlug (though the hardware envelope is half the speed). In other NSF players, it just plays the square waves and the envelope and noise can't be audible.
Note that this NSF uses no samples, and is Sunsoft-5B only (no 2A03 channels used).
Please record it.

kevtris confirmed long ago that the mapper contain fully functional AY-3-8910, with noise and envelope (I'd guess it is actually YM2149F).
I made a test for emulators, which shown that there are no emulators (at the time) that support all the features. Most of them had only square channels, and one or two also crude noise emulation.

I don't have a setup for playing arbitrary NSFs on it, but I have a 5B and have verified that it's a full YM2149F running at half the NES CPU clock speed. (YM2149F had a mode that halves the clock internally.)
NSFPlay/NSFPlug has the correct behaviour, VirtuaNSF envelopes are at the wrong speed. A lot of emulators get it right/wrong to varying degrees.
I put everything else I learned on
the wiki. I would be happy to try and test a feature if there's something you want to know, but at the moment I can only test via hotswapping, so I can't really do things like play an NSF.

Make it into a .NES rom format and I'll surely test. a NSF is not a complete ROM, you know. Also I lack he programming skills to make a NSF into a ful rom.

Hey, reviving an old thread. Is the mml source available for the nsf in the OP?

Eh, sorry for the late reply. Please ask user jrlepage for that, he's the composer of this nsf.
