I did the soak thing to start with and then went the hair dryer/heat gun way. Use the hair dryer/heat gun way. 45 sec is being generous. It will most likely take less.

Doesn't that warp the plastic if you aren't careful?

With the soak method the only possible risk you run is having suspiciously clean carts.

No. You're only heating up enough to get glue loose to remove label. When I've done it, it normally only takes 15 seconds or less of heat to remove.
