hi all
I have spent some time re-creating the orginal copynes schematic and creating a working PCB from it. I am not sure if anyone is interested in the parallel port design anymore but if anyone needs a copy of the design its here

Re: old copynes(parallel port) schematic
Cool, glad someone did that. My PCB was done on an ancient DOS PCB program which is the main reason I never released it. No one would be able to use it unless they could hunt up a copy of draftsman EE (just TRY to google that, hehe. I've been using it since 1993 or so). These days though I'm moving onto altium.happ_bunny wrote:hi all

Yeah there's a few google hits, but finding the actual software is fairly difficult if not impossible.tepples wrote:Done.kevtris wrote:No one would be able to use it unless they could hunt up a copy of draftsman EE (just TRY to google that
The other problem is the gerber format it spits out is pretty old and I've been having problems finding board houses that don't whine about it.
I've been using it for 19 years and have made probably 150 PCBs using this software in that time. It's not very often that someone will use a piece of PC software for almost 2 decades. I can't think of any other software I've used this long without at least upgrading the software a few times. Maybe telix gets close, but I have upgraded that at least 3 or 4 times over the years.
