An 'old' new SNES game, faithful remake of the classic arcade, published by Bubble Zap Games. Here are screenshots and download link, and here is a short video that shows it in action.

This is really nice. From the video it looks very true to the original. This is still a fun game - I tired to see how far I could get after watching "King of Kong" - I think I was able to break 100K points once or twice (after a lot of practice). Any plans to implement the new arcade levels? ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP4EOu1EWCI )

Or the hundred or so levels in Donkey Kong 1994 for Game Boy.

Awesome, the SNES needs more homebrew that's actually fun. An honest-to-goodness 16-bit Donkey Kong remake was a good idea. Thanks!

That's great ! Was it programmed in C ?

Although I must say Mario looks strange.

Yes, it is programmed in C.

Mario looks strange because it was difficult to me, being not a very good pixel artist, to make 16x16 sprite that would both resemble the character, and not copy the look from his SNES games pixel-by-pixel. So let's just say, it is a Mario impersonator, Mr. Mary.

I'm surprised C is that fast.

I kinda recognize this as a NES to SNES port... it's somewhat justified for a two megabit game, as a lot of the memory is used up by all of the data combined.

Fast enough to handle Donkey Kong? Why would that be so surprising.

Are you planning to add the "pie factory" second level at some point? That's the only thing that it feels this port is really lacking.

Thanks for comments.

The pie factory level wasn't planned to be included initially, but now there is plan to add it. No plans for the GB version levels, though. Also, currently there are two minor bugs are found, they will be fixed. Stay tuned for the update, and please report bugs if you'll find them.

If you start a new game after you get game over on the third board, the "How high can you get?" screen still indicates 100m when you start the first level.

My favorite level! :D

Pretty neat. Are the samples taken from Mario Paint?
