Whats your signature about? Mine at the time of this post just advertises the fact that WedNESday will be released soon.

I think we'd all like to know what Dwedit's is about...

My signature is about how I consider signatures a form of spam. I don't think there's any reason I should have to read the same message at the end of every post, especially since the signature is never related to the topic.

I'd rather want an explanation for why sometimes people sign their posts every time, which is the original concept behind a signature.

Same here. Some people don't even have the decency to put some sort of separation between the post and the signature, so you are tricked into reading the same irrelevant text over and over.

I'm not a big fan of signatures. I may put a little line of text or two in one, but that's about it. I dunno if I have one or not! If I do, sorry?

Can we ban signature? I think it is irrelevant in a forum like nesdev. The new rules with signature make no sense because it brings nothing to the actual content written.

You can turn off signatures if you do not want to view them. So if you don't like signatures, user who does not want to view it, can turn it off! (You need not disable them globally. Even then, if signatures are turned on, you can omit them from individual messages)

(I don't like current separator that it uses; I think it should use an <hr> before the signature.)

Anyway, signatures are probably more warranted somewhere like Slashdot, which lacks a "General Discussion" area, making sigs the only way to express something that's not directly related to one of the topics of the day without getting moderated down for going off-topic.

Oh good! Thanks. I didn't realize the board preference options had three subpages, otherwise I would have found it when I went looking for that option.

I didn't even remember that I had set a signature until they were re-enabled, with the recent migration. Apparently, I was very uncreative.

SmilyMZX is my alias in DigitalMZX and Z2, AtariHacker is my alias in AtariAge...

Erased the NESDEV1 support thing due to it being killed off.

Used to have a signature here (which I use almost globally across all the forums I'm on), but once we did the forum move, thought all it did was take up real estate and seemed silly to keep. So I removed it.

Personally I don't mind signatures, as long they're not overly obtrusive (no images, no more than a couple of lines). I think they can be an expression of one's personality and I kind of like that.

This. Also it could use a smaller font size by default and maybe even a color that blends with the background more.
