Why is it everywhere I go everyone is so in the dumps? Even though I don't get gifts anymore, Christmas is my favorite time of year because people are always happy, & now it seems I can't enjoy that anymore.

I like to celebrate Christmas whether or not I get or give any gifts, but I like to make the decorations, gingerbread, music, etc. And I think the winter solstice should be celebrated, not Dec.25, anyways. Yes you should be happy, but also you should not necessarily be subject to any particular religions, so, do how you like. (It is too commerticalize and other problems how it is done today. They didn't want to play charades or hanafuda or anything, but this is unrelated.)
