Wouldn't it have been easier to patch the game's palette tables and mapper writes, turn it into a CNROM, with dipswitches and coin door either connected to the expansion port or hacked around in code?
Rather than add code to the game to correct the pallette, why didnt he just put the VS PPU into the NES?
It wasn't clear to me whether he flashed the rom to a cart or if it is internal like the VS system.
If it is possible to just swap the PPU instead of reprogramming the games, it would be really cool to have this modded system to play VS ROMS at home with a flash cart (all VS games used the same mapper, right?).
Whoa. I guess there are way more VS games than I'd thought. I thought there was only 5-10 early NES titles and maybe Castlevania thrown in for good measure.
