Battletoads ANROM problem

I bought a Solstice cart (ANROM) and i modified it in order to work with 256k eeproms (some scavenged w27c020 that works perfectly fine) connecting the A17 pin of the prg to the 12 pin of of the 161 and the D2 one to the 5 pin, and a bit of rewiring for the prg rom. It runs Cabal perfectly fine (you only need tha A17-12pin connection for Cabal to run on an anrom) with no glitches. But when i try to run Battletoads this is what i'm ending up with:

Notice the graphic glitches and the fact that the game freezes just like when runing a game that needs aditional ram (Dracula for example) on a cart with the ram chip not connected. What should i do?

You try to run an NTSC game on a PAL machine, that's why. Most times it works, but not with Battletoads.

Thank you much! I didn't know that. Yes i'm pretty sure my machine is a pal one. So, it's nothing wrong with my cart then?I even added some dip switches to disable the hc02 and make my cart a "true AOROM" one, even though that chip is there just for avoiding some bus conflicts, and still no difference.

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with your cart, it runs those other games, doesn't it? Try the PAL rom instead.

It runs well all the aorom games i tried until now except for the Battletoads games.

You mean there is a pal version of the Battletoads rom?

As a British company, it would be odd if they didn't made a version of their best game (at the time) for their own region...

More countries can develop Xbox Live Indie Games than can buy Xbox Live Indie Games.

There is no reason to disable the 74hc02. None of the commercial games should rely on bus conflicts to function. Atleast no one has ever pointed one out.

Curiously my country is one of the countries which cannot buy XBOX Live Indie games. I don't know what they're thinking.
And it's not really (directly) related to Rare on the NES days ... Besides the fact that Rare currently belongs to Microsoft.
Does that mean Microsoft own the rights to the Battletoads IP ? lol

Some countries, such as the United States, allow selling games that are "not rated". Others, such as Australia, require classification of all video games for objectionable material, which can cost thousands of dollars per market. Indie Games are "not rated".

As far as I can tell, yes.

When you are hired to provide a service, you'll do whatever your client tells you to, even if that means coding a game exclusively for a region that's not your own. I have no idea whether they were hired to code Battletoads or if it was their idea, in which case it would indeed be weird to not make a version for their own region.

The only thing I can tell is that, strangely, the PAL version of Battletoads is adapted from the NTSC version (and not the other way around) as the music in the NTSC version is perfectly adapter to the musical scale, while in the PAL version the music was not adapted and notes falls in between actual frequencies of notes.
Also I can point out that Rad Racer II was developed by a japanese company, but was never released in Japan. There is probably several examples like this.

Also "Advance Wars: Days of Ruin" (NDS) wasn't released in Japan.
Despite:
* Being developed by Intelligent Systems, a team within Nintendo.
* Having the full Japanese script and images of text available.
* Being a series that originated in Japan, and took a very long time to be released outside of Japan.
